Justus Crow - saxophone
Justus Crow is an avid saxophonist and educator from West Point, NY. He is currently a student at Ithaca College, where he studies Music Education. During his time at Ithaca College, Justus has performed as a member of the IC Concert Band, Wind Ensemble, Chorus, Symphony Orchestra, and Jazz Repertory Ensemble. Additionally, he has performed new works in Composition Premiere concerts and extended the repertoire of the instrument through his commission of “The Tide” by David Miller (IC ‘26). Justus strives for musical excellence in his performance of diverse styles, ranging from standard repertoire to contemporary works. Not only does he aim to further his artistry, but broaden his musical knowledge for the benefit of his students. Justus has been a participant of the American Saxophone Academy at the University of Hartford, as well as the Great Plains Saxophone Institute/Workshop at the University of Oklahoma. He was also selected as a winner of the 2023-2024 Ithaca College Concerto Competition, performing the Concerto for Alto Saxophone and Orchestra by Henri Tomasi with Dr. Ho-Yin Kwok and the IC Symphony Orchestra.
Justus Crow is currently a student of Dr. Eric Troiano, and has previously studied with Steven Banks and Lois Hicks-Wozniak.
